Epidemic and Pandemic Diseases by Goo Yi Tao

Epidemics and pandemics refer to the spread of infectious diseases among a population.
The difference between an epidemic and a pandemic is two-fold. First a pandemic is normally used to indicate a far higher number of people affected than an epidemic, and a pandemic refers to a much larger region affected. In the most extreme case, the global population is affected by a pandemic.

They start with harmful germs spread around among people with their unhygienic practices.
These germs can subsequently merge together and form another type of disease.

People fall sick and may even die because their immune systems are not strong enough to fight the germs.
Doctors, Scientists and many others try very hard to find cures to the diseases.

In recent cases like H1N1 influenza and Sars, the World Health Organization(WHO), medical related research institutes, ministry of health in Singapore and similar government organizations in other countries and hospitals, have found the cure to these epidemic and pandemic diseases

As a student now I can be more hygienic and advice my friends to do likewise. And I will study hard to obtain more knowledge to build a solid foundation.
When I grow up I can go to medical schools to do further studies and research on relevant topics. Only then, I can try to contribute in the scientific world of medicine through finding cures to illnesses.
